price gouging, cost is up pay is down, suckers, how much does it cost to make a product, virses what we pay for the product. tired of being taken advantage of???

It's time to stay home for a week and shut down business that are run by big corporations and teach them just who is in charge!! We can do this! Via the Internet, we can make huge change. Who is with me?
The large corporations have billions at the top, and there are plenty of them. The money sports players, movies, movie stars etc.... are making and charging us $6 for a beer that cost 20c to make has to stop. Movie theaters charging $4 for a soda, nuts. And these are just a few. I'm not just singling them out. Overhead is one thing, paying for unnecessary salaries is stupidity.

This is likely to be the last thing you want to hear. But it's the truth. This is the result of what's simply known as supply and demand.

The business community supplies the goods and the consumers demand them. As our society has grabbed hold of the computer so readily, goods are easily tracked down to the item per unit. In fact, many businesses are able to keep track of precisely how many pair of shoes are sold (including men's, women's, children's, and work boots), each week of the year, in say Montrose, Colorado. So there is never an overshipment, creating a surplus of goods. It's the controlled/management of supply and it's very effective.

The other side of the coin is consumer demand. When our shoes wear out we 'need' another pair. And some of us (women in particular) have psychological issues with shoes in particular that causes them to buy more pairs of shoes for whatever excuse suits them - style, color, bargain, excess! This happens with many products. As you drive around the next few weeks take a personal survey of how many 'old' vehicles you see people driving.

I drive a 15 year old "beat up truck" although I certainly can afford much better. But the thing still runs absolutely fine. It looks a little ragged and certain people give me a queer look as I drive by but then part of my strategy is to make most people think I haven't got a dime to my name. The bottom line is that Americans continue to buy these products consistently. We demand these products and we seem to be more than willing to part with Federal Reserve Notes to acquire these goods. Demand.

In one way I could argue that Americans are demanding these goods. On the other side of the coin I could argue that our standards are so low that we fail to demand something better.

We seem to know we're getting the raw end of the stick but we do next to nothing about it. On that note, many Americans fail to know 'what to do' about it - although others are highly suspect as to whether they understand trade issues entirely.

The news media certainly could do a better job of explaining things of this nature - it was once called journalism - rather than promulgating their propaganda. However, the fact is the mainstream media was one of the key components in pushing through NAFTA and the WTO - and what Americans aren't often told is that the same people who own the Federal Reserve System (yes, it's a privately held corporation) are the same people who control (through majority shares) our nation's major media.

Joseph Stalin was right about one thing - tell a lie long enough and people start to believe it. I gave up on the mainstream media years ago and have no hope that those folks will ever get it right again.

Businesses simply exist to make a profit. Most Americans, bums and the Amish aside, are also into making a profit - although I suspect many bums would like a barrel of Federal Reserve Notes as well.

The real question here is why are Americans continuing to support this nonsense and why are we supporting slave labor and communist regimes (see China)? Is America communist or capitalist? Or are the lines of distinction graying and hazy?

Is this the result of the political agenda of those who own America's central banking system, the major media and also control the majority stock in many of the large corporations that have household name recognition? They want you to think they are different than they are and they are very good at deception. (do some research on ex-PsyOps personnel and where they work now.)

Is this why you as a private citizen are asked to pay your full share of taxes (in 1900 it was about 5% of your yearly income, on average, to support local, state and federal government - now it's over 31% - but it's happened so 'slowly' that the average frog hardly understands it's being boiled for dinner) but major corporations, not small businesses which employ 2/3's of the American workforce, ask and receive tax abatements and are holding you and I, as taxpayers, hostage. And forget about the debt of your, local, state and federal government! Are all these issues interrelated?

When will America stand united? Never maybe? Sure we have a leadership vacuum. It's a political problem for certain. But that requires followers too deal effectively with the problem. I, for one, have a lot of questions. I readily admit that I fail to have all the answers.

Having said that I have a vision that suits you much better than the vision those who own the Federal Reserve System have deployed upon the American people since 1913. [Same year as the income tax. We had to pay for that corporation's profits as well.]

If any of this stimulates your brain I challenge you to do more than you have in the past. Everyone is different, and some have been involved in doing something about these issues previously.

If you have great! What follows is a blueprint for a course of action for those who have failed to be actively involved in changing what's become the status quo.

1. Copy this and forward it to your friends, enemies, coworkers, family, strangers, whatever.
2. Organize your little corner of the world and encourage others to attend your precinct convention, along with yourself, (Democrat or Republican -since they are basically the only two choices/conduits of influence) and your county, state, national conventions. Maybe we'll meet in 2008 - but that will have to be at the Republican National Convention.) One good person in every precinct in America makes a phenomenal difference.
3. Start talking now, within your group, about running candidates TO WIN in the next election cycles. Forget about running to make a point. Start off with the attitude to win. Work from there.

That's a start. The longest journey begins with one step. Take yours and we'll work from there. This is hardly about party labels. It's about America and it's about what's right for Americans. See you in 2008!

For that very purpose I have come to making use of "I can not suppose it is ot butter" because it simplest has 1g Sat. fats. and nil g of Trans. fats. I do use butter for baking. however considering the fact that it is only me, I don't do a lot of that anymore both. People have bought to be extra conscious of Labels once they cross grocery browsing. Take the time to learn them, after which you'll recognize what merchandise are well and unhealthy for you. Then you'll be good proficient and recognize what merchandise you must prevent. Like most of the frozen merchandise which can be prime in Sodium, Sat. fat and Trans fat. No marvel we've got grow to be a society, that's leaning toward larger weight problems. Processed meals can kill you. I'm no longer announcing that you simply have got to devour all typical meals and I do not even start to move there. They are ordinarily extra luxurious besides. Just watch what you devour.

Not if I'm selling. The anwser is, don't by the crap! The price will come down. I have quit eating things like beef. I don't buy from deli's, and if doing fast food, I work the 99 cent menu. Don't buy name brand stuff, that's where they really get you, and look at the price. Walmart is really bad. They'll have one item very cheap, but the one you want is cheaper at Target. Shop everything. There are deals out there but you have to find them.

did you mean versus. Though many products cost in materials and even labor may be much much less than what it costs on the shelf. Well that is why someone takes the risk of a business, to make a profit.

Yes...! That's why I take no further interest in consumer goods, am no longer in the least acquisitive, spend very, very little - and NEVER - EVER - buy ANYTHING but the bare necessities...!

That's not to say I do without anything I like - I just find that I'm now content with far, far less than I used to be. I guess if my kind of "CONTENTMENT" broke out in society at large, the capitalist police would have to frogmarch people to the stores and force them to buy things at gunpoint.

Fountain drinks cost just a few pennies per serving but especially at restaurants people pay about 2.00 to have a soda. What can ya do =)

the price of a product isn't just the cost of making it ....... you got to figure in the overhead i.e. ...... the wages of the employee of the store you purchased it from ........ the rental and utilities bills of the premises they operated from ...... everything must be figure in before you come to the conclusion that you were being TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF
