To me, a good movie has to have a good plot with an interesting and possibly surprising ending. Oh, and it has to be longer than 45 minutes in a theatre. I one time paid to watch Jo versus the Volcano; 45 minutes and it stank.

Well some recent movies: Click with Adam Sandler was really good!! Its comedy and drama mixed together. It really takes you by surprise. I always enjoy 'While you were sleeping' with Sandra Bullock during the holidays. And also 'The Holiday' with Kate Winslet and Jack Black was cute, a little long and Cameron Diaz wasnt that good in it, but cute.

I just Apocolipto last week and it was very good. Man on fire was good, city of gods, malibu's most wanted was silly, gone in 60 seconds good movie for car fanatics, four brothers very good, idewill good, lucky number slevan was a trip and very good, hills have eye's remake very scary and the texas chainsaw masacre very scary and bloody. I could go on and on....

To answer your question... A good movie is one that has lots of people that go see it. one that leaves you with a good feeling, or thinking of it for a long time after you see it.. A good movie is a movie that moves you.... A good movie is different to everyone.... I know what you wanted I am just being literal ( and kind of a dick) sorry. my favorite movie is vanishing point. 1971 edition, with barry newman and Cleavon little... next is Citizen Kane,,, rent them both... Vanishing point is a bit, Different... but I am sure you will enjoy Citizen Kane.... ha
