Meaness, the thoughtless little things you say and do. Remember women have long memories, Give her something good to remember. Right after you marry her, tell her how beautiful she looks to you, and how glad you are that she is yours. When she is pregnant with your children, tell her she has never looked more beautifull. Learn how to cook a few simple meals. When she is sick with the flu, help get the children off to school, and bring her a cup of tea and some buttered toast. Bring her a single perfect rose every now and then just becuse you love her. Help scrub the bath tub when she is 8 months pregnant, help with the dishes now and then. Never Never put her down in front of others, instead brag about her when in the presence of others. Not only will this mean so much to her, no matter how much money her girl friends husbands make, or how they advance up the ladder, she will always think she got the best deal in a husband.

I guess the top of the list is communication,

If you can't talk things out then you can't make the relationship work. Spooning with each other for 20 minutes before either of you discuss what you were angry about..Most of the times it disappears in those moments of closeness and it isn't as important as it was in the heat of the moment

Loss of trust in each other and a lack of communication. Without these two things a marriage cannot last.

Communication is probably the top of the list. If you are unable to get through to your spouse through communication then you can not find common ground and mutaul respect. Although people can have great communication and have money problems or loyalty/faithfulness problems too.

i will say misunderstanding over a small matter will finally threatens your relationship. try to talk about & solve it rather than keep it yourself & make it becoming worse & burst it one day.high - expectation cause trouble too.love the way your spouse are & blend together(give & take policy).this applies for all type of relationship.

The main reason marriages fail is because one person thinks they can change the other.

Money issues. That is the leading cause of divorce in this country. When a couple has it then they argue about how to spend it and when a couple doesn't have it then they argue about how to get it. Sad really.

a spouse that works or travels a lot. i've seen so many office romance start up b/c co-workers in that type of situation spend more time together than they do with their spouses. they start becoming comfortable with each other' sharing experiences.
