The Dell Latitude 610 laptop has what I call an eraser head in the middle of the keyboard. I forgot what it's really called. That might be stuck or your keyboard might be going bad. There is a way to disable that mouse ball thing. Most laptops have a program running called Synaptics Pointing Device on the right down by the clock. Double click on that and that will get you to the mouse Properties. If not, then go to control panel then go to Printers and other harware and then click on mouse. Make sure that the Snap To option is unchecked. There might be an option to turn off that mouse button also. My laptop doesn't have that but my old dell did and I did disable that eraser head there.
