I guess your laptop has a "touchpad" but you are also using a mouse. Usually, using both is okay.

It might be possible to re-calibrate the mouse settings under Control Panel. However to check if the mouse is causing the problem, unplug it and reboot. If the touchpad works as it should then the mouse has the fault.

Lastly you can search the DELL site under support for any simlar problem in their knowledgebase. Even a Google search could turn up others who had the same problem.

Try to use an external mouse, if this is still not functioning in the right manner, try to adjust the speed movement of your mouse in its setting menu. If there's no wrong in the external mouse, your built-in mouse may have a slight problem try to ask assistance to a laptop technician.

Thats bcoz the touchpad is pressed in that corner..

this happens to most users who use it to click insteas of the button...

Hold down one side of the touchpad and see if the pointer centres again...
if it does then you will have to get it fixed...

it does not have to do nethin with ur software or settings tho...

maybe your seat isnt in a upright position..so the mouse falls on the side where the gravity is..or you can change it on the control panel>mouse>pointer options>uncheck the snap to box.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
