The first and only time, I said "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints" because I could feel the glorious presence of angels come straight from the throne of God and their holy aroma of being in the presence of God continually just lingered in the room. That Bible verse and "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee" and "Lo, I am with you alway, even until the end of the world" came to mind. If it hadn't been for that, I would likely have been a completely nervous wreck but Jesus took the sting of death away for me. I felt like worshiping the Lord. Death is just a door, the birthing canal if you will where you pass from corruptible flesh to incorruptible immortality if you are a believer in Jesus Christ and your sins are under His atoning blood shed on Calvary.

Death is not an actual entity; it is the absence of life. I sat with my father as he died and there was nothing to say about the process, except that I gave all my love and attention to the passing of his life with joy, sadness, but most of all -- respect. I sang him away softly.

I'm not scared of dying, I just don't want to

the plus side, death is one of the few things that can be done just as easily lying down.

I'm assuming that if I saw him he was coming for me. I'd probably do the old cliche thing and ask for more time...
