What's all this talk about "running up the score"? Give me a break. You're complaining like sissies because your team is too bad at the game to keep the score even. What would entice a team to keep the scores close? This is the only sport where people try to rig games to make the scores close. Nobody whines about blowouts in MLB, NFL or NHL. No wonder why basketball is a dieing breed. What are your thoughts, not that I care?

Look around a little bit in regards to Nuggets and Nicks incident on the web would you? Every one is crying because the Nuggets were "running away with the game" boo hoo hoo.

http://www.pazsaz.com/topsprts.html let me know where you see a basketball game on that list...

Also, the NBA finals average 11 million viewers while the Super Bowl averages around 25-30 million viewers. Football games also receive much better ratings than basketball games, which are hardly ever shown on broadcast channels or during primetime.

So please, back up your answers with facts rather than baseless statements.

First of all, Basketball in no way, trying to run up the score if you will. The Nuggets-Knicks brawl started when Karl left four of his five starters in for the last quarter, and they had already had a secure lead over the opponent. The Knicks starters were already on the bench and there was no sane reason to have Nuggets starters in with 1:15 left in the game. The sports rating that you brought up leaves two very important points. One, it only covers the major five networks to which the NBA hasn't started its run on the major networks, yet. You can make sure by going here. http://www.nba.com/schedules/national_tv_schedule/ABC/
The other point that it brings up is that Ice Wars did better than Smackdown, which personally I don't get...but oh well. Your comment about the Super Bowl is interesting because it The Super Bowl is the most watched event in the world, and the big news is some people don't watch it strictly for the games. They watch it for halftime entertainment and the commercials. A study shows that this is mostly women, but some men do it as well. http://www.accessmylibrary.com/comsite5/bin/pdinventory.pl?pdlanding=1&referid=2930&purchase_type=ITM&item_id=0286-3391378
So there's nothing wrong with the NBA just next time do a little bit more research about somethign before you say stuff. (That's why I never say anything about the NFL or NHL.)

The nba isn't awful. And no one rigs the games to keep the score close. What the hell are u talking about? Maybe u are awful! Look u can't even spell "awful". So shut the **** up! Basketball is the second most popular sport in the world behind soccer. So how could u say basketball is a dying breed. People like u are going to become a dying breed. Watch urself boy!!

It's a fairly easy game to play, but very boring to watch. They also seem to hate looking bad with that fuzzy ball. That fuzzy ball is what is getting those big scores.
