I do it all the time, when I'm out of town or on an errand in the middle of the day. I usually sit in the bar and bring a magazine or book. I don't mind at all, it's actually very enjoyable to me, but a friend was shocked when I told her about it. Is it really that weird for some people to do? If you eat out by yourself and are uncomfortable, what do you do to make it less weird?

I also enjoy eating out alone occasionally. I don't usually bring any reading material or anything to make me "look" busy, though. I genuinely enjoy people watching, which keeps me entertained... or I'll just eat slowly and think. If someone thinks I'm a loser... well, that's just fine with me. My alone time is precious and priceless!

I used to feel uncomfortable but now I'm used to it because sometimes I have to eat alone (like at work...) so I don't feel uncomfortable anymore..and I don't do anything much to make myself feel less weird...I just focus on my food and eat =)

Sitting at the bar is OK. Getting something to read so you look busy is also good too. I do the same thing too. If you ever asked to join me it would make my day.

no I eat out alone all the time mainly because i loooooove being by myself some ppl think its just down right weird and crazy and can't believe I do it but I do and I love every moment of it

im anti Social I guess you could say. Alot of people make me nervous and I never eat out wether I am with my Boyfriend or not

nope, I use to do it all the time for my work lunch...I like the relaxing alone time sometimes....I also read a book or a magazine...didn't really care what others thought...

Not at all. In fact, I go to movie alone too. I love being alone. That's nothing wrong to be alone sometimes.

yes i do,and sometime you won't enjoy the meal that much.Eating with someone or in a group is appetising.
