He's probably the only dog in the house which makes him aggressive and extremely territorial. He's just insecure and use to being the man in the house.

No it is just that dogs have a sixth sense and he understanss the things you are hiding from others.

Not that he's evil, it's probably that he either feels threatened by them, or he is an alpha dog, and feels they are threatening his territory.

Maybe he is very terretorial, try getting other pets but keep them apart from them but make sure he sees them. That should make him more sociable.
