No self-respecting punk ever did a love song. Much less a positive love song...LOL! And The Cure were NOT punk. They went from New Wave into Goth Pop without a hitch!

Check out Social Distortions newest stuff, you'll find it there. the Vandels have some "love" songs, but of a different sort that you're looking for probably. And no, the Cure isn't punk by any means. But that doesn't mean they're not awesome.

Tecnically, it's not punk at all, but u can try with "is she really goes out with him?" from Joe Jackson, Tart from Elvis Costello,The Kids are alright from the Who, and Suzy's a headbanger from the ramones. Good luck

Plus, punk-rockers don't really like love songs...

depends on what genre of p.r..... but when i was younger one of my first boyfriends made me a "love song" tape that had a song on it by screeching weasel called "like a parasite". it may be early 90's pop-punk but it made me feel so loved!
