His mannerisms and demeanor are eccentric. He is slow and deliberate at times - giving the impression of being extremely laidback - these are times when he is choosing a product at the store or eating. At other times he is haphazard and casual, like when he is driving or performing some menial task. He does not seem accustomed to social norms - he chews with his mouth open, forgets to say thank you and does not clean his mess. He claims that his father is driving him crazy yet maintains a tight "bond" with him. Faithfully answering his calls, cooking for him and letting him make decisions for him. He has trouble sleeping (unless I am there with him) and worries over things - like the fit of his shirt - until they are verbally resolved with me. He's afraid to say "I love you" or "I have feelings" but shows them in peculiar ways - neediness, petty slights and offhand sarcasm. Does he have a disorder? More than one? Thanks!

Although you didn't include the diagnostic information needed to form an opinion I would suggest that investigate Aspergers Syndrome, ADD ADHD or some other form of Pervasive Developmental Disorder or Autistic Spectrum Disorder. (Autistics are not only the ones who sit in a corner an d bang their heads against the wall, so please do dismiss this as a joke). Hope this helps.
