The heart and mind are interconnected.Try to live every day like its your last. Be nice to people most times it doesn't take any extra effort. Smile at people who are frowning. Don't take life so seriously.

Both.. but happiness from the mind only lasts as long as the mind is focussed .. happiness from the heart usually takes a long time to acquire but once gotten can fulfill you for a long time with only low maintenance required..
Mindful happiness is usually very high maintenance happiness.. like going to an opera is a mind happiness as is buying a ferrari..
Enjoying the scent of a flower and feeling happy by loving a pet cat are low maintenance forms of happiness.. and best of all are free to all..

I think happiness is a state of mind. I think you can choose to be happy or miserable, and if it was from the heart I don't think you could choose. I believe that part of being happy is accepting the fact that there are many things out of your control, so it is useless to worry about them. I think I am a happier person because when something is bothering me I ask if there is something I can do to change the situation. If I can change it, then I do, and if I can't change it I just let go of the worry and move on.

Happiness is a myth. We TELL ourselves we are happy, or not happy. I have seen people with everything, health, home, money, kids, love; no reason to be unhappy, but they WERE unhappy. WHY?? They had everything they could need and want.
I believe happiness is a myth, not real. Sorry to those that think it is real, but it isn't. It's a mind set we have, some of us are willing to go along with either the happy set, or the unhappy set. We can change it tho.

there is no advice we can give you to tell you how to be a happy person, but only from our own experience can we share of what makes us happy. Everyone is different, and what makes me happy can be something totally different than what makes you happy. If you want to be a happy person, think positive. Never think a glass is half empty, but half full.

The mind. Without the mind the heart would not feel a damn thing! It all comes from the mind! !

Think positive, do good, be good, always see the bright side of life, be optimistic, help others when you can, and at the end of the day when you'll think about your day, you'll feel happy by your deeds.

For me, both. I love learning new things and meeting new people, having new experiences and the joys of old friends. I think it's pulling the positive out of your experiences and creating opportunities to find joy.
