There aren't any. All of the solutions listed will clean the disk but not physically remove scratches. Toothpaste would fill the crack of a scratch but it's not translucent so I'm not sure why some one would do that. Buy a CD repair kit from a place like Best Buy or Circuit City... they actually grind down the surface of the CD to remove scratches.

Honestly your best bet is not to use household items. One of the otehr comments said windex, but that could burn the cd. The best thing would be (if you wear glasses) to use that liquid your optometrist gives you and wipe it with the cloth the optometrist gives. If you don't wear glasses nor does anyone in your family, then just buy some of that "official" cleaner. You can buy those at best buy or Fry's.

Get the disc, take it to your bathing room sink, moist it a sprint (use chilly water). Get some white toothpaste and smear a skinny layer each and each and each and each of techniques around it and rub in alongside together with your hands. Rinse off the toothpaste as properly as you may, dry the disc off and voila! it is going to now paintings. If it does not, then you definately rather would in basic terms not be able to maintain it, i'm afraid!

Use just a little bit of tooth paste to fill in the gap and you're good to go.
