From the one quarter he played against the Jets, he does look like he has good potential. He is still rough around the edges and needs some work. He was telegraphing his throws too much, and needs to work on that. But he does have a nice arm, and was good moving out of the pocket when needed.
Thursday game against the Packers will be a good indication. I'm looking forward to seeing how he does for an entire game.

^Tarvaris Jackson is the rookie QB drafted by the Vikings. Some say he was taken too early (2nd round), others say he's just a dark horse and can become a great Viking QB of the future (which I believe).
I agree that he will be more like McNabb who has the brains to only run when he has some great holes, or it is ENTIRELY necessary. He has a good arm and I expect him to be a threat in and out of the pocket.

Way to soon to tell I am hoping a Vicnabb which is what I hear from people in the know about this guy. Good arm, Good runner, able to make people miss and is accurate with a good touch. What I saw on Sunday was a deer in the headlights but Peyton Manning had that for a few years in Indy. I Hope nothing but good things for him.
