Of course they can! I've read a book by a 14 year old before, so I'm positive that a 13 year old can also! I am writing my own book, and I've asked this question many times before to my own friends, and the answer has always been yes. I have been to book writing message boards, and I see people who are below the age of 13, and they are all writing their own stories! Just add faith, hope, and a pinch of talent, and you're on your way to publishing your own book! Good luck!

Sure can. There's magazines that do that all the time. I wish i could think of them....but you send them in and if they likeit they'll do it. I'd consult with an english teacher if you or someone you know is really interested. Teacher's have all the hook-ups and would love to help you get started.
