What is the success rate ? I recently attended a workshop which was attended by over 300 people and more than 50 % bought web hosting packages sold by presenters ensuring everyone that they could make tons of money selling on the web. I am not fully convinced.

It is not easy at all. Do not jump on the first thing that sounds "to good to be true". Do not buy any systems or products untill you do your homework. There are tons of free resources online where you can learn. There are a lot of people making six figures a month online, but most of them have been at it for a long time. Some of the sites who try to sell you a "get rich quick" program will spend $10,000 or more just for a professional sales page. The writers they hire know what to say to get you to buy.

This forum is probably the best free resource online. Just be sure to read and search before you post a question that has been answered a hundred times like "how to make money online?"
And don't spend any money untill you understand the business.
The web is full of scammers.

YES - it works!! But - you have to be proactive about it. If you have good relations with quite a few small buisness around you (they are the best) - you can definately make money with it. One of my friends has about $400 a month just rolling in - he doesn't have to do literally anything either!
Check out http://www.DependableHost.net - click "hosting" then read about "reseller hosting". They are the best prices I've ever found - and the features are hard to pass up. You have full control over the accounts you "sell". After you pay for the monthly account then you make your own hosting packages - sell them, and you make money!

Isn't it obvious? If it was so easy the people who were hosting the workshop wouldn't need to host the workshop. They would be at home swimming in their pool filled with cash.
