if iran were to acquire nuclear weapons (sufficient in number) will it use 'em against the u.s.?

nobody seems to question that iran intends to use it against israel. but will it use it against u.s. as well? assuming were they to develop sufficient in number... however unlikely...

Sorry, but this question is a no brainier. And as to the foolish idea that Iran doesn’t have the technology to reach the U.S.! Are you naive or just loony, "heavens above" they have obtained the technology to create a sophisticated nuclear weapon, but not the means to get it across an ocean?

They have a deep-seated religiously fomented hatred of the west and every Jewish human being. Stop at just Israel!??? (just Israel???) Last time I counted there were quite a few Jews in the good ole U.S. of A as well as non-Jews who would defend their right to exist.

It is stated in the Quran that in the end times the rocks and trees will call out to the true followers of Muhammad “There is a Jew hiding behind me, come quickly and kill him!” Ahmadinejad himself said: "Anybody who recognizes Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury,"

As for Muslims destroying the land for all habitation, they have said a thousand times that it is better that Israel is wiped of the face of the earth even if they too must die to accomplish this. does anyone doubt this from a culture that breeds and educates "suicide bombers".

I really doubt that Iran will use nuclear weapons against anyone. I do not think it is true that Iran would nuke Israel. While i do not like the rulers in Iran, i do not think that they are stupid. They know quite well the reaction that would happen if they use their nuclear weapons.
I firmly believe that they are pursuing a nuclear weapons program for defensive reasons. As a way to deter any attack on them. Let's not forget that Pakistan, Iran's neighbor to the east, has nuclear weapons and India beyond that. Israel, a little to the west has nuclear weapons and Russia to the north. So why can't Iran? That's the question the Iranian public is asking? This is a legitimate question, even though I don't think anyone should posses such horrible weapons.
To "dude96069": Please tell me how you would like to go about banning Islam. If 20 percent of humanity is Muslim, how would you do that? What about Christianity? Alot of violence has been committed in the name of Christianity in the past? How come we don't hold Christians accountable for that? What about the crimes commttied by Israe? Let's hold all Jews responsible for that?
To "RSdaCat": You want god himself to protect Israel? Interesting, but what about us, the rest of humanity? What's our worth? Do we count for anything? Or should we merely orbit around the sun of the "chosen people"?
I am sick and tired of this "Israel worship" i see by some people. They talk as is the mission of the USA is to nurture and baby Israel. Why is this? Why should we par for Israel's mistakes? Why should be continue to anger a fifth of the world in order to satisfy Israel or thw 15 or 18 milliom Jews in the world?
I am amazed by the level of ignorance, hate and complete intolerance shown by some people here. No wonder the world is descending into anarchy. The extremism, violence and insanity shown by Islamist fundementalists is met by an equal level of ignorance, intolerance and hate by many in the rest of the world. There is no chance of using nuclear weapons by any country because there is always chance of counter attack. Iran is a democratic country. Present President is loosing votes. It is home of twenty thousand Jews and does not want to harm any Jews in the world. There is political dispute over territory. President Bush is taking personal interest in solution of issue. We should always be optimistic. We should have faith in our leaders and not speculate.

I don't think anyone really (deep down) wants to use it, especially after seeing its effects (Hiroshima and Nagasaki----done by the US). But if anyone is angered enough, who knows what humans are capable of? I mean just look at what people do with abductions, massacres, pedophilism, kidnapping, shootings, etc. And the US really isn't helping itself much, with its constant harassment of Iran. If they play it safe and be at peace with all the world, we will never have to worry.

A scare tactic. If everyone wants the land the Jews are on, why would they nuke it. This would render the land highly radioactive and uninhabital for the next 1000 years. People fight for the land so why would they destroy it?

Iran will not use nuclear weapons 1st to anybody. its only for protection. Israel has nuclear weapons. but no1 says it. no1 tells them not to make it. ( whatever they didnt make, US supplied them). If US attack Iran, Iran defenetly do everything to protect US. US is a blood sucker country. they only want oil & blood.
