Why do old houses creek for no reason?

They are STILL settling, plus the hot and cold expansions and contractions

Even new houses creek and there is always some reason.........you just need to find out what that reason is.

different variables, wind, settlement shift, shift of weight in living quarters, such as moving of couch etc. hey when u get old u will creek also.
