remove the battery or the jumper for the battery and wait 15 minutes or longer. then reinsert the battery and change the password.

Windows:
1. Turn on the computer.
2. Tap the F8 key repeatedly until you get a black screen with white text. You will know this is the right screen because it will no continue to the next screen until you make a choice.
3. Select "boot in safe mode" with the arrow keys and hit enter.
4. When the computer boots up, log in as "Administrator" and change your friend's password.

I'm new to yahoo answers but I researched you problem a little.

Take the computer back to whomever sold him the machine and ask for help there. They have techs. Better to call first and ask some questions. Be ready to pay for the service.

use admin pass to login and reset ur friends pass. u can also go to saf mood to do it. if u lost admin pass then u r in real prob. and let us know for next level solution.
