Wow, I listened to Pink Floyd for the first time in a long time and I was pretty high and wow everything has so much more meaning when you are high. Everything was so much clearer and it totally tripped me out. Why is music so much better to listen to when you're high?

Apparently, you're new to "the game". Try listening to classical and studying for an exam. However, in order to ACE the exam, you need to burn before you take the test, and you need to listen to classical music while walking to it. If you're on the same playing field, you will remember everything you studied. Trust me, anyone who reads this answer will confirm its truth!

Oh, and by the way, yes, Pink Floyd is trippy when you're baked out of your skull, but try understanding metal. It will make you grow cross-eyed. The complexity of it all triggers something in the brain....

It's all in your head, I think. I would like to assume that when you set out to catch a buzz, you did so, for a reason, possibly to relax. With that in mind, your attitude is better, more "open minded", so to speak, or you could say, a better mood. So of course the music is going to sound better, just like a number of things are better; TV, food, sex etc. Just don't go over board Panama Red! :-}

The ONLY way to truly understand ANY Pink Floyd song is to be stoned out of your gourd.

Its because this music was mostly created by people on drugs so it sounds better when you are like that too
