Thats true I never really thought of what discrimity african american people put on themselves we call each other things that racist people used back in the day to hurt us and feel low about ourselves we call each other the n word etc and then we want to get mad at other races for calling us itwhen they hear us calling each other it all the time the n word is starting to become a natural word in my vocabulary. Anyways I do kind of feel offended when people say oh this black boy or girl said this. i just feel like saying do i look black do any african american skin color resemble a black color were all different shades also racist people back in the day called us black to offend us I guess it caught on as a natural word we use to descibe an African american today.

The problem to me is understanding were in Africa blacks came from. North of the Sahara, some may not consider themselves as black, or African but identity is base on religion. Most blacks were enslaved from sub-Sahara and brought to the west. So shall we say we are sub-Sahara African. Confusing not knowing your identity is what lead to the designation Colored, *****, and now Black. Accepting African as a identity would be easier, if we were accepted as African by those you may meet born or immigrated from Africa. This may be our next designation or identity as the world shrink, than earthling.

A black co-worker of mine served in the military recently and was telling me about his tour in Africa. When he was on his ship sailing towards the continent, he was black or African American or what have you.
When he stepped off the ship and onto the port, he was American. Not because he had a mind switch, but because the native Africans there didn't think of him as African.
He was a US soldier.
Get off the label.

Africa is a continent with many countries, languages, religions, and other dissimilar categories.
That's part of the problem. Africa is not ONE place, and people don't understand that. They are killing each other in Africa, and sometimes the only real difference is the HEIGHT between tribes.
Go figure...

As far as I'm concerned the blacks are the real Africans when compared to the whites who live in Africa. THE ANSWER BENEATH ME IS NONSENSE BECAUSE EGYPTIANS ARE FROM EGYPT WHICH IS A COUNTRY IN A COUNTRY NOT A STATE OF AFRICA.

White people are Caucasian. Black people are *******. It is just a scientific classification.
I am white/Caucasian. My ancestors came from various Europeon countries. I do not refer to myself as a white Europeon.
And by the way, there are many theories out there that we ALL came from Africa.
Just be proud to be you.

To me, black is only a skincolour, and blond is only a haircolour. The "one-drop" rule is nonsense. calling folks "no longer-white" since they talk Spanish is nonsense too. Races do not relatively exist in people
