It was the late 70s. My friend, a DJ working at a local radio station and I, decided to catch a buzz. He put an album on and we jumped into my Gran Torino, turned on the radio so he could hear when the album was ending, and we proceeded to get stoned. We talked for a long time and then I noticed it.....dead silence. I told my DJ friend and after yelling "SH*T!" several times, he ran into the station and put another record on. The station had experienced Dead Air for 20 minutes. Fortunately, it was 2am. No one ever found out.
