Truthfully, if I knew exactly who dropped it I would most likely give it back. I might not if they dropped it while stepping into a limo while wearing a mink coat. I also wouldn't give it back if I saw the person being abusive to children or animals while they were walking down the street. It's not really an age thing, it's more about how the person is acting. If they are obviously an a**hole they are not getting their money back.

If I saw or knew who dropped it I would return it to them. Just did it the other day as a matter of fact. The gentleman was very confused at the check out counter, thought he had given the clerk the money, she said he hadn't, he was, as I said, confused. I started looking around and it was on the floor several feet behind him. I picked it up and gave it to him. I could've put it in my pocket. I need the money, but I don't need the guilt.

Peace.

How did You know about Me giving it back to Him? Of course One would return the money to an elderly person (unless They were incredibly wealthy, or in the drug business).
Honesty might well be on the way out, but Honor is with You forever.

no I wouldn't. It's one thing to find it in the middle of the street, (and even then it's a bit unethical b/c the person could report it to the police that they lost it and you could maybe find the owner) but it's another to stand there and watch someone drop it and take it. if the same thing happened to me and someone pocketed my money, i'd be mad!

No. Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is looking or will even know.
