do not attempt to open your ipod, it is not made in such a way for ( at home ) repair....once opened you void out any warrantee you may still have on it, and you,ll be lucky to get apple to fix it,, also remember that you can only charge your battery like 400 times, each time you plug into the computer to down load, that counts as a charge... so plug in only to down laod a list, do not do so for 1 song here and there....there only authorized personal to open your i pod are at the factory... which is where you,ll have to send your i pod to have a new battery put in it.. this at a cost of about one hundred dollars....my addvice is to always buy the extended warrantee, for like 40 bucks, which will save you 60.00 when the battery goes out, which it is preset do do reguardless of its condition after 400 charges....good luck, and please do not try to open your ipod there isn,t anything you can do in there anyway....
