Why would somebody buy XBox 360 just to keep Halo 2? Might as well keep regular Xbox till Halo 3 comes out.

Xbox 360 has other great games and capabilities.. Like you can still play Halo 2 on Xbox Live, get media capabilities incomparable to the Xbox..
Have the opportunities to play other great games such as demos and download movies and TV shows.. Halo 2 isn't the only good for the 360, people buy Xbox 360 for other reasons then continuing to play Halo 2..
Plus the 360 looks damn cool, it's like people buying the PS3 even tho it sucks and people buy the Wii to play Wii sports if they are already on a sports team..

This means that Microsoft's marketing campaign worked. They have convinced the public that everyone should buy the 360 because you will have better graphics, HD movies and the latest and greatest system. So, people buy the 360 and play their favorite games. Then, they realize that the graphics are marginally better and are stuck with a $400 system.
Trust me, we are in the minority to think paying $500 on a game console system is stupid. I am pretty happy with my modded Xbox and still have plenty of games that will keep me entertained for at least few more years.

i'd say that convinced you may promote that 360 elite for ps3 slender because who wouldnt? the 360 receives overheated too a lot besides compared to the 360..take it from me my 360 were given overheated and it took as a lot as 6 months for fixing so merely get the ps3 is a lot more beneficial!

yeah but most people don't even have x-boxes so instead of wasting their money and buying an x-box then a 360
they might as well just by a 360.

because people love halo 2's multiplayer online, just because thats all you ever see them play online doesnt mean they dont have offline 360 titles

It's because they are not that very smart. They're bored and like to blow their money on anything. And even sometimes throw their money in the fire to look at the pretty colors.
