a couple questions does this rig use a dana 60 front axle. i owned a 97 ford f250 and it had a friggin TTB front end on it. If it uses the dana 60 front and rear i can switch em out with a 79 reverse pinion front and rear axles right. A easy switch. How does a built ford 460 compare to the turbo diesel they were sticking in these rigs.

Thanks

Explorer? I think that was the only "Ex" vehicle made by Ford in 1995 ("Ex vehicle- Explorer, Excursion, Expedition) The diesel will more than likely get better fuel economy plus if its stock, will be more reliable also. Strategically place question marks throughout your rambling mess of a paragraph might also help us help you.

i'd have a mechanic bypass over it heavily. i don't think of your engine has a timing belt to be stricken about (it may nicely be chain-pushed), yet you want to be in touch about all the rubber elements. Alternator & power guidance belts, radiator and heater hoses, tires, door seals, that sort of stuff. Corrosion can nonetheless take position inspite of low miles fantastically if that's been parked outdoors. also, seem on the brake fluid. If that's darkish, then you extremely might want to get the brake equipment flushed and refilled. Brake fluid absorbs moisture and may reason corrosion contained in the equipment; that may outcome in frozen calipers and different complications. i'd flush the cooling equipment and put in clean oil and oil filter out too. Spark plug cord insulation is rubber and may be cracking too. music up; flush the brakes and cooing equipment, replace any cracked rubber, and also you'd be good to bypass.
