How many times a week and for how long, do you water your gardens.
I am watering 6 areas twice a week 20mins each area.Does that sound about right for a town in its 10th year of drought.

i live in the Whitsundays and our restrictions are 5-9 am & pm on alternate days for watering by irrigation or sprinkler and hand water any time .
this is of course unsustainable given the infrastructure and with our dam being at 14 % ( 10 - 12 % unofficially ) and with the amount of developement going on and obviously no water hitting the dam ; we are heading up 'cripple creek ' in a barbed wire canoe ! with no hope in sight . our tropical cousins up the road in the cairns region are doing okay --- but not here .
