got a ps3 but i heard rumors that if u get a hdtv, the graphics are better. IS THAT TRUE?

The graphics will have a noticeable clarity on a HDTV compared to....let us say a standard CRT TV. It is true to an extent, but the graphics from a PS3 will be better than the PS2 regardless.
