It is a negative comment....who ever showed you up did something better then you did.

It means someone made you look bad. It's not a compliment.

It's negative and it means that someone out-did you, or did something better than you did it yourself.

i think he/she MEANT to say "she sure stood you up" which generally has a negative connotation. it means that she left you hanging or failed to meet you somewhere. (i.e: you and your friend plan to meat at a restaurant at 1pm, you arrive there and she never shows up...it means you've been stood up) hope that helped. and i hope no one did that to you, that would suck.
