I mean he's basically a running back now. Matt Schaub is a far better passer than he is anyway, and that way defenses would have more than just one person to shut down. As it is, they just have to focus on the run, no matter who's running the ball, because Vick won't and CAN'T usually beat you with his arm.

They will never make replace Vick with Schaub, even though he is the better quarterback, mainly because of the racial issues that would be raised. People, starting with Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson, would all say that the change is racially motivated. The best they could hope for is to trade Vick. Not to mention Vick has too big of an ego to let them start him at RB and would rather sit out. The Falcons are in a hopeless situation and should have picked L.T.!!!

Graduating from the University of Virginia, I really want to see Matt Schaub start. Vick at RB is a surefire plan for the Falcons to come back. as you said yourself, "Matt Schaub is a far better passer than he is anyway, and that way defenses would have more than just one person to shut down. As it is, they just have to focus on the run, no matter who's running the ball, because Vick won't and CAN'T usually beat you with his arm."

I could not have placed in better words myself....

How about this as the ultimate do or die plan for Atlanta? If Matt Schaub is considered by many as the best backup QB in the league, trade him. ANY number two receivers in the league would make surefire number ones in Atlanta. Even draft picks would be an option. There are places facing trouble at QB. Imagine, though extremely a longshot, if Schaub was traded to Oakland for Randy Moss. HA. Vick and Moss together. but seriously, why not trade Schaub or even Warrick Dunn (Jerious Norwood was pretty good last I checked) to pick up a high first round pick and snag Ted Ginn or Calvin Johnson. As it stands right now, Vick is most dangerous as a quarterback, but needs to have that "go-to" receiver, which, unless Michael Jenkins or Roddy White finally develop, he won't have for a long time.

I undergo in ideas Bam Bam's Favre Q, i could somewhat Brett Favre than Michael Vick. destructive Eagles they are getting Michael Vicked Being Brett Favred is staggering. Beinged Michael Vicked is very very nearly as undesirable as Michael Vick

I'm not saying he's got the most accurate arm (as strength is no Q), but even though they lost (and that's only because he had to carry the team) SAT, we saw what can happen when his recievers DON'T drop the ball. He tied his high of 4-TDs, and 4 is good for anyone, ESPECIALLY Vick. He doesn't even a Marvin Harrison or Chad Johnson, just guys who will catch the damn ball reliably and on a regular basis.

no they shouldn't make a guy who has played throughout his high school college and NFL career suddenly become a running back. That would be stupid. They just need to focus in the off season on actually getting him some credible targets to throw to. These guys have a hard time just completing a catch. He is a heck of a passer no matter what anybody says, he just needs talent around him. If they were to suggest to switch him I would hope he would go elsewhere to play... preferably somewhere that isn't scared to give him some decent targets to hit.

No way, Vick is at his best with the ball in his hands at the beginning of a play vs. being handed or pitched the ball. If anything, I would look at putting him at receiver. Many a college QB has made the transition to WR (Hines Ward, Randle-El)

vick is fast but he would not be a good half back he is much better where he is. Vick needs a quick reciever so he can use that strong arm of his and take the falcons back to the nfc championship.

I've said it before and I'll say it again that if you put an offensive line in front of Michael Vick - look out. It's a shame the Falcons are wasting his talent by putting him behind a porous front line like they have.
