walking is a good thing.I've walked with both of my childern to try to bring it on faster.I think really after your water breaks that's when the walking really should start, if you go to the hospital that's what they have you do anyways during labor(as long as your not like 10cm or ready to have it).I always held off untill i couldn't bare it anymore before the hospital because your more comfy at home then there, my second child i had him 5 min. after i got to the hospital(that was nice even though i didn't make it in time to get any med.drugs)

Yes, you can definately walk that baby right out, but make sure you do this WITH SOMEONE ELSE. A good friend of mine almost gave birth under a tree using this same method. Once you lose your mucus plug, pay attention to whether or not you are damp. It is possible to leak amniotic fluid and this poses infection risks for the baby. If you notice that you are leaking, then call the doctor! Have fun, and what;s the hurry?? :)

I think walking will be just fine unless your doctor has told you other wise. Just think if labor don't start soon for you they will have to induce anyway, so I would try walking a little it might make a difference. Good Luck.

Absolutely go for a walk. This will help speed things up. If you are wanting to get contractions started try "nipple massage". Check it out on the Internet....it really works too.

Good Luck

you can walk! I don't know if it would really speed up the process until your actually having contractions, but it might! good luck. And congrats on being pregnant.

As long as you don't have a lot of pain by walking you could walk a short distance. But if your dialated you'll go quick enough.

If you're really physically tired right now safe your energy. I went into labor while I was sleeping so it will happen either way :-)

Walking might help move things along, but it will help more once you start having contractions.

call you OB doctor, and tell him or her about the leaking, he/she might want to check on you to see if you are dilated or not, they will be the ones to tell you if is OK to walk and how much..good luck and congrats
