Not really she never said publicly. Rumor has it that she auctioned off the answer to the highest bidder on the provision that they would not reveal the answer.

The song is primarily about Warren Beatty. It is often attributed to Mick Jagger but that is incorrect. Mick Jagger actually sang backing vocals on the song itself. Listen closely and you can hear him.

It can't be James Taylor. They were married and have 2 kids. Carly said it was Warren Beaty. They had a fling when she was a teenager.

Yes the only person that really knows is Dick Ebersol (NBC executive) since she told him as part of an auction. it is rumores to be Warren beatty or Mick Jagger- but Dick Ebersol knows because he paid her to find out.
(since I'm not Dick Ebersol, I personally don't know-- but I wish him well after the loss of his son on that plane crash)

I heard its either Warren Beatty or Mick Jagger-Those were the rumors going around on the radio when the song first came out!!!
