I'm Asian too and it pains me to read your question because it's full of broken English grammar structures.
What do you define as "Asian"? Are you talking about those who have immigrated to English-speaking countries or those who were born here?
I don't believe it's a matter of being Asian; I think that learning a second language such as English allows a person to pay closer attention to correct spelling and grammar, thus making him or her better at English than a native English speaker.

Maybe they think you will appreciate the correction. Maybe they have made the same mistake and were embarrassed by it, and they don't want you to have to experience the same, a form of self-preservation if you will.
English is a difficult language to learn because it's full of grammatical inconsistencies, there are several phonetic sounds and spelling is inconsistent. Because English borrows from so many other languages, and English speaking countries tend to have histories of colonialism, which has increased the words, ideas, and ways of expressing ideas, English learners have a lot of ground to cover.

English need not be your mother language. I know for a fact that there are many Indians who speak multiple languages. I personally know of one who speaks 6 and his English is impeccable. (both oral & written) It is his attitude to speaking it correctly and learning that he is able to do it. Why don't you take it as a challenge to speak English as good as an Englishman or should I say an American. You can, but you should try. A defeatist attitude will not help you at all.
And if you are working (business) with American or Englishman, you should know their language as well. It is only right. Otherwise you can work with your own people and speak you own language.
Learn it, no excuses.

true, english is not the mother tongue of most asians. even if you talk a little bad mother tongue it is not a matter of much concern..
it might be because of the fact that english is learnt in schools and other institutions of academics but mother tongue comes from the day you are born from all your relatives speaking to you only in the mother tongue!
it happens very often is asiatic countries as most regions of southern asia were under the reign of britishers once and the asians were made to learn "queen's english" for the sake of making them clerks under the foreign governmental officers. it was the perfect english that was in vogue with the native englishmen. and till date, we have been learning english and other subjects in english medium so as to keep ourselves in line with the other developed nations and their technologies which have english as their language and medium of communication. since we are sincere learners and dedicated workers, we tend to look for grammatically correct english!
in america the english they speak is not right most of the times, or atleast, not the grammatically-defined pure english. it is because the original natives of america were not english people.
hope it helps :)
