I listen to a lot of music,i noticed a lot of artists had best musical moments when high off some kind of weed,2pac did an album in a week from weed,eminem came up with a lot of good songs when high,Snoops whole album wich had good songs this year had good songs because he started back smoking this year. I just happen to do music,no i didnt smoke weed,but a anonymous person was smoking weed by me and i caught second hand smoke heavily wich made me high with that person,and i was high all night,i went home and wrote some of the best songs i think i possibly could and i made a track and it was amazing. What do u think?,i say weed has a positive affect on music

There have been lots of people who have claimed that it enhanced creativity. However, it would be awfully hard to prove this in any objective sense, simply because people can be more creative if you just ask them to be more creative.
It could be argued that anything that changes one's mood or thought patterns could lead to enhanced creativity but -- as already stated -- even that would be hard to prove scientifically.
It seems to be like beauty -- the answer is in the eye of the beholder.

Weed can influence music yes. Some of the greatest songs come from an era when weed was all the go. I guess we are seeing a resurgence of it again with the people you mentioned.
I wonder if it is the mind altering state that makes them a better artist or just the fact that they are relaxed and don't feel the pressure.

yeah your right, Eminem has came up with good songs while high, and he seems more creative, rappers would write songs while high on other stuff too.. -- but Eminem is good at rapping no matter what!

what can happen when you're high is basicly that you're mind forgets about creating something good, and focuses just on creating which is difficult when you're sober.
I for instance have a hard time writing when high, since I forget everything I came up with and I will never know if it's good or not.
