You should turn her into your boss! Why is she running around kissing office furniture and printers? She's got a problem.

Mike, are you her boss? If so, you need to tell her. Call her into your office and just let her know that for safety reasons (she is spreading her germs all over your office), that she is not allowed to wear any type of lip product that rubs off easily. Believe me, there are plenty of good lipsticks out there that stay on ALL day and night- and do not leave a mark on anything (or anyone).
Good luck--- be nice but firm-- this really is a health hazard- colds, flu and herpes!

Thats a tough one....because all in all, you still have to work with the person. My question would be, is she married? or is she shopping for a guy at work? If she is "shopping" for someone, she may be under the impression that the "diva red lips" are helping her out. If you know she is interested in someone, you might try to drop it in conversation that so and so, really hates red lip stick. If she is not shopping for someone, well, you have two choices...take the bull by the horns and come straight out and tell her you find it un-professional and a distraction no one needs to be cleaning up after her. Your other option is to go around with a paper towel handy and wipe up everything.

Ask her if she has ever been to a salon and had a facial. Tell her you have heard of some really good tips. There is lipstick that want rub off and mascara that want run. Maybe she will take the hint.

If she's not sensitive, make a joke about the office looking like a C.S.I. crime scene with blood everywhere. Maybe even put up caution tape. Or maybe pretend to use her glossy lips as a mirror. Leaving an anonymous note would be a last resort, as it would probably hurt her feelings more than someone confronting her.

Nicely ask her if she can see her way clear to wipe off her lipstick spills. Sooner or later she will get tired of cleaning them and use a product that wont smear.

Why are you taking matters into your own hands, when the manager should be dealing with this problem? Anyway, if you must give her advice, tell her to use smudge-proof lipstick/lipgloss.

Just tell her honestly that her lipstick is turning everything red, though I would have to wonder how unless she kisses everything.
