It is a hard call I would want to know that there is no mistake and that is the person and then I hope they get that person away from me as fast a s they can as I know if someone killed my grandson or my son when he was so young I would want to kill him myself. I would want him put down the most painful way. I believe child killers have no rite to live and I don't see why we should pay taxes to feed and house them. I think death caused from an accident weather from a car or anything else is not the same. I never used to think the death sentence was rite until I read about all these child molesters that then murder the kids

It's a hard call because they say you should value a life but he did not value hers. I am so sorry for your loss. Especially since he won't reveal the location of your daughter's body. In this case a big yes for the death sentence. I pray that he reveals where the body is before he dies though.
I think all in all it goes on the theory - an eye for an eye. I think that a lot of crimes committed deserve harsh punishment. I just wish they could be punished in the same way - death is to kind for some of them.
If someone was shot and left die that way or if someone was put on fire - the same thing should be done to the person/s that did it. I know that seems harsh but they had a chance not to do what they did whereas their victim did not.

I'm sorry about your daughter. I think that they keep these killers on death row way too long. I have a friend that this had happened to also. It took over 18 years for the killer to be executed. People to not see the pain families go through when something like this happens.
I also think that these killers should not be executed with the needle. I wish they would go back to the gas chamber or the chair. Let these killers feel the pain of the victims.

My problem with the death sentence is that sometimes
people get over zealous in the conviction and convict on circumstancial evidence.
I highly recommend you read the book Innocent Man by John Grisham.
With a fair trial and real forensic evidence and good polce work, I don't have too much problem with the death penalty when its deserved although I do find it hard to kill people.

What is wrong with us as a society that we protect monsters like Crane from death.I totally agree with the death penalty it is a choice these monsters make when they prey on innocent humans.I believe when you take someones life willingly then you forfeit the right to yours in other words you do not exist in the human race and should be disposed of like the garbish they are.My thoughts are with you this coming season you have your own special angel looking down on you.

Terribly sad story I am sorry for your loss.
I do not enjoy the idea of execution - but I think that NOT punishing someone for doing this kind of thing is a crime in itself. A man who is willing to do such a thing has given up his right to life. An eye for an eye.
Also - I dont believe in the religious dude's answer about there being a judgement day and hell and just leaving the crime unpunished cause the greater power will do it for us. We are people living on this planet and we need to manage murderers - not sit around waiting for lightning to hit them.
I hope you find some closure in finding the body.
Good luck!

The death penalty should be made illegal because sometimes innocent people are falsely convicted.
However, on the Day of Judgment, we shall all stand before our Father in Heaven. And murderers who haven't accepted the Lord Jesus Christ in their hearts will at that time will be sent to a place in which no death penalty in the world can rival - - an eternity to a place called Hell. Hell is real, and not a ficticious place, and is reserved for ungodly people.

It costs taxpayers 65,000 dollars per inmate. I say if you kill someone, you lose all your rights because you took away someone elses rights. If all murderers were put to death the taxpayers would save, the deficit would be squashed, and there would be less prisons and less killing by criminals. Take a life, give a life. All for the death penalty.

I'm sorry you daughter was killed. I don't agree with the death pentalty, murder is murder to me. I think there is more justice in having the person live with what they did every day and if they don't show remorse for what they have done then there should be a program or education to teach them to feel it.

I say, smoke the jerk. A life for a life is how it has been since the beginning of time and is how it should be. Its kept people from becoming killers and it should continue to do so.
