What are those touch sensitive lighting ball lamps called?

My first guess would be what are called plasma lamps- where gases like Xenon and Neon are placed inside a vacuum atmosphere and the electric current exits the atoms in the gases causing them to bolt out to your fingers. It's a similar process to Van Graff Generators and Tesla coils, except for the atoms are trapped within the glass of bulb of your lamp.

I usually see the bulbs called "3 way bulbs" so I imagine possibly 3 way lamps?

ive always called them Touch Lamps. But im sorry im not sure if thats the proper name.
