Yes, I support the casting there. He's not some great actor, but he should pull this off, his love of bronze-age Marvel comics will make him work that much harder. Plus the character doesn't have the mass appeal of other previous Marvel films, so they needed a big name actor to pull in more ticket buyers, just like they did with Snipes for the Blade movies.

He's a comic book fan (shame he auctioned off a lot of his collection) so I hope that is a good sign for the GR movie being decent...
but I can't see him as Johnny. To me, he should be more like Johnny Storm in the new FF movies... young cocky daredevil biker. I gre up reading the GRs, and you look at the character... I don't think or see Nic Cage.

No I think tom cruise should because then we don't need special effects and can just light his head on fire and kill two birds with one stone.
1- make an excellent movie about an excellent character and
2- get rid of the most second most annoying jackass this planet has seen since hitler.

he is too old... daredevils dont tend to stick around that long anyway, and blaze was a younger man...
plus cage mumbles too much... he needs to get over the 'elvis' thing...
just thankful they finally gave up on the notion of cage being superman...

that is already filmed and in the can. Cage is an incredible actor and I think he will bring out the pathos and pain that is Blaze

Well he already did. So there is nothing you can do about it know. It looks pretty good. I think Keanu Reeves should have play the Dan Ketch character instead of the Johnny Blaze one.
