How do I put my bluetooth device into pairing mode?

which bluetooth device is it? most motorola headset require you to hold down the button until the light stays steady then have your phone "find" it.

Depends on the bluetooth device. Most headsets you need to push and hold the power button until the headset indicator goes to purple.
