Could you be pregnant? Make sure you're not pregnant....if that isn't the case, maybe check for lumps or any changes in the breast...maybe the tissue is changing, and that is usually caused by hormone fluctuations.
I don't know alot about breast health, so that is all the help I can offer (dreary as it is). But a breast self-exam is always a good idea in the 30's and 40's. You can never be too well-informed about your health. Best of luck to you.

The most common symptom you have relates to pregnancy. If not pregnant it could possibly be hormones. Sometimes you can get fibrocystic breasts which can become very painful. Coffee and chocolate can attribute to the pain. I would take a pregnancy test first and then if negative try avoiding caffeine and chocolate to see if your pain has diminished. If none helps see your doctor. If you notice any discharge from the nipple or any lumps that do not change with your period see a doctor right away. Good luck, I hope this helps.

I get that all the time. As I got older I noticed that the closer I got to my period the more sore my breasts would get. I even noticed that some months it would be less. The months they are most sore are the months I know I can expect heavier flow and more cramping. Tylenol helps some, but I see it as a forewarning to what to expect when "Aunt Flo" comes to visit.

Anyone could make a number of speculations...all of which could be helpful insight, but what you should really do is see a doctor about it. They can explain it to you, and while doctors are not always correct, their opinions are certainly helpful. So yeah, if you're curious, just schedule an appointment -- it isn't hard, and you'll probably get a better answer there than here.
=) happy holidays

you should go see your OBGYN because you want to be sure. They may be fibroids. Go get checked, do your breast exam during your shower. Go to WWW. askjeeves.com and post your question. You can get sound medical advice. I hope all ends well.

Do you drink soft drinks or coffee? Too much caffeine intake can make the breasts tender.
