Sweden is such a long country, so the climate in the far north is much colder than in the far south. But regardless of that, we use to say that summer months are June, July and August. Fall months are September, October, November. Winter months are December, January and February. And Spring months are - yes! - March, April and May. (Though March may be freezing cold and with deep snow, and in the North it is more like a winter month).

The first weeks in September can also be quite hot, and so can the last weeks in May. But it's not uncommon with frost in early June. You never know what to expect from a Swedish summer - except that the nights will always be very short.
