I have recently entered my first year at college and living in the dorms. One quarter has already passed and I found myself not really enjoying the college life. One of the reasons why I do not enjoy the college life so much is because I haven't really made any friends. Are there any tips/guides as to how to attract more people or, in other words, get friends? The problem is that I'm a really timid person. It's hard for me to keep a conversation going and it's even more difficult for me to go up to a person and introduce myself. Thanks!

ok there's a way to practice your conversational tatics. Online. You can chat to people on here and find that conversations will fly through the roof. There's many to talk about, you can talk to people in groups and not worry that your talking to a person in real presents. Just pretend that it's a computer that your talking to. It's a lot of good practice, you'll meet a lot of great people on here. you'll find that people have tips to give you, and they'll help you out. I can help you out. if you have yahoo IM I will be more than willing to be your friend.
