Football is better -it's the thinking man's game:
Plays are drawn up so that each player has his particular role to play & the offense and defense design plays to counter the other side -it's somewhat like a human chess match. Each player needs to execute his particular task for the play to develop as planned. Add in the audibles if someone recognizes something that hadn't been anticipated & you can see that football is far more of a mental game than basketball.
