The last few weeks of pregnancy were the most uncomfortable for me, I too was never comfortable, always had to go to the bathroom, and was having braxton hinks contractions almost steadily. I was one week late, but because of your history this pregnancy, I don't think that you would be. If you do go into labor early, don't worry about it, you are at least 37 weeks and that is old enough for the baby's lungs to have matured enough to be completely healthy when born. There are almost never complications with babys born at this age. Just stay relaxed, and know that your baby will be fine no matter when it decides to come at this point. Congratulations! You'll be fine.

I would like to know if this is your first baby. I think you could or should ask you doctor about your concerns. Yes, it can be very uncomfortable at this late stage. The baby should be turned head first by now and lower in the abdomen, which pushes on your bladder and also may cause sharp sudden pains running down your legs. Remember your baby is uncomfortable also and probably cannot wait to meet you as much as you do. The contractions you say that are occurring off and on is preparing your body for delivery. If you are not sure whether you are in labor or not go to your doctor or local emergency room. They will be happy to check you and answer your questions. Try to nap or to rest during the day. Always on your side. Lying on your back will slow the oxygen level taken to you and the baby. Some mother-to-be may lose their mucous plugs. This comes from the cervix. Sometimes it is slimmy-like and may have a pinkish tint to it. Labor will present itself before you know it. Please talk to your doctor or nurse, believe they have heard alot of different questions and would be more than happy to answer your concerns. You are probably scheduled for appointments closer together now. Ask them to do a pelvic to see if you have dilated. Just for your information, your baby will be before you know it. Just take good care of yourself as well as you can, you're going to need it.

Why are they stoping labor after 37 weeks...that is so weird as baby is already considered full term then. Your odds are good that you will go into labor before as most women do not labor on their due date, however my OB did not stop my labor at 36 weeks (a bit preterm) because every time labor is stoped it increases your odds of being over due.

Since you're in the area of your due date yes you can have your baby before your due date. I conceived March third and my baby wasn't born until Christmas day. So a woman can go into labor before her due date and after her due date. Congrats and God bless you and your baby.

If the contractions are not following a regular pattern then you're not in labor. Normally braxton hicks contractions just feel tight, but for some people they can hurt.

I don't think you're in labor yet. Sorry.

There is no way to tell. The average first time mom is 7-10 days overdue. It is common to get uncomfortable towards the end of your pregnancy, it just happens! Hang in there!

YOU COULD GO INTO LABOUR AT ANYTIME NOW..SO BE PREPAIRED..MAYBE YOU WILL HAVE A CHRISTMAS DAY BABY!!YES IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE TO SLEEP AT THE END OF YOUR LABOUR...AS THE BABY IS TAKING UP MOST OF YOUR SPACE INSIDE..AND YOUR INNERS FET PUSHD UPWARDS..THATS WHY ITS A LITTLE HARDER TO BREATHE ECT...TRY PROPPING YOUR SELF RIGHT UP AS MUCH AS YOU CAN TO SLEEP..THAT SHOULD HELP..TRY NOT TO DRINK ANY WATER AFTER 6PM...DRINK MILK INSTEAD IF YOU NEED TO DRINK..THATS SHOULD HELP...ALSO THE BABY WILL BE PRESSING AGAINST YOUR BLADDER SO YOU WONT BE ABLE TO HOLD MUCH PEE FOR A LONG WHILE....WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST FOR YOU AND BABY...

It is hard to say, you will be seeing your Dr. before then, and he should be doing a pelvic exam which will let you know. If you don't have it before then.
