hcg after laparascopy?

i sure hope someone can help me with this, i had a dnc and laparascopy done on dec6th because of an ectopic pregnancy my hcg numbers the whole time had never reached over 97.7. so that was almost two weeks ago, i went in thurs and got anothe hcg level and got the results today and omg it was 1004 i couldnt believe it!so they tested me again today but the nurse wouldnt give me the results said she needed to show them to the dr, there was no indication on if it went down or up or anything, my question is why would it be so high, he assured me that he took everything out so now im worried any help would be great, i am going crazy waiting for the results thank you

It may be that your body doesn't realize your no longer preg so your levels haven't dropped yet, I've met some people who where still having issues with their hcg levels for a couple months after dnc

I had an ectopic removed on Dec 6th also. My level 2 days before that was 4546. 5 days after the dnc it was down in the 100's. Did they look at both tubes and verify that there was not another pregnancy in that tube? Maybe the doctor did not do a good job with the dnc. I personally would have had a real issue with the nurse not giving me my numbers. They are your numbers and you paid for the test(or your insurance did) She should have given you the number but told you not to read anything into it.Sorry about your loss.
