the major note right that is "unlawful". i'm wondering about enhancing your self, yet we've regulations for a reason. Why actually have a regulation or a border if that's not enforced? there is not any different u . s . on earth the position you may enter illegally and get the range of amenities and regularly occurring of residing you do in u . s . a .. until eventually human beings crack down on the loose amenities presented to unlawful immigrants, the human beings who're right here legally and paying taxes are going to be footing the invoice if you pick now to not obey the regulation. Why not be conscious for citizenship and then get economic help?

after I wrote this I realized you needed this from a British citizen and abut Britain. :-))) Nevermind, maybe you´ll need this later. If not, have fun exploring Slovakia, without even asking for it.
Marek

I am Slovak (Slovak Reppublic-part of former Czechoslovakia, Central Europe).

1. Our people are more cold on the outside, softer inside. many of our people are still wearing the mask we had to wear while we were communist country, a mask hiding all the emotions and thoughts in front of strangers. It was crucial because anyone could have been an agent and send you to jail just because of your thinking. mainly the older generation cannot get rid of this habit easily. On the inside we´re softer than Americans, not as much calculating.
2. No
3. Slovak slang word no means yes. A Slovak who´s not perfect in English when speaking to an American is easy to say "no, no" as to agree, the American will get confused because he understood - No, and the Slovak will get confused in which direction the talk is going, when he said yes already.
4. Eastern Slovakia - woodcrafting, love to traditional dance
Middle Slovakia - Making of special cheese gnocchi(bryndzove halusky), making of sheep milk products, traditional house painting
Western Slovakia - traditional ceramics, bottles, dishes, art.
5. Mainly all catholic celebrations, celebration of the day of "birth"(sorry, my English) of Slovakia (01.01.1993)
6. They have a Queen!!
7.From the accent.

Ana , I am an American . If this is a true college assignment please transfer to a new school ,you are not getting your money's worth. These questions are simplistic and insulting which is why you got the responses you did. Turn the questions around and pretend you are a student from another country asking Americans the same questions... see what I mean.

As for the rest of you . You are not that worldly either and Ana was an easy target. Since cockney is the American equivalent of white trash get back to your trailer park and stop looking down your noses.
