It's happened to me, in the reverse kind of way. I don't love someone, but I'm overly obsessed with him. I know it's wrong, and I know it's bad for him, he who needs to move on and find a wife. But, I feel so attached to him. I barely know him too.
This is why...I don't know. You should have a long talk with your ex. See what's wrong.
