Snails and slugs leave trails like that. Try putting powdered boric acid around the area where the trails are to kill them.

It could be a large slug. We have had them here and I have had to use slug bait to get rid of them. They like dark damp places but will come into the house. They are not easy to get rid of but the slug bait from Lowe's does work if you keep using it until you don't see them for 6 months or more. You place it around the house about once a month or more if it rains a lot and washes it away. they are ugly, fat and slimy. Good luck

Its probably snails or slugs cuz that has happened to ma cuzin i alway find them outside in my driveway but yea use salt or sumthing or insect killer if u want to get rid of dem

ive had the same problem and found out it was slugs. what i did to stop it was put salt down were they were coming in and ive not had any problems since
