The tC (especially with the supercharger) is going to have vastly more low-end torque. That means it will "feel" faster and be more responsive in everyday driving.

The Civic may or may not be faster on paper, but a Supercharged tC is going to feel a lot faster with all of that torque.

The Civic will have a bigger aftermarket, but the tC's aftermarket is nothing to joke about either. I would say you need to test drive both. Odds are you will be able to find anything you want and more for the tC. Unless you plan on spending another $20,000 on mods and you need every conceivable Spoon part in the world, don't let aftermarket alone steer you towards the Honda because the tC has fansastic aftermarket options too.

VTEC is nice, but the Toyota has variable valve timing too AND forced induction and no matter what any Civic sack riders tell you a supercharger giving you tons of low end torque is going to give you alot more driving pleasure than anything happening above 5000 RPM, unless you plan on staying in 1st and 2nd gear and redlining your car everywhere you go.

A test drive of a supercharged tC and the Si back to back will make the decision easier for you. Good luck which ever you choose. The Si is a really excellent car too, though I don't like this new one nearly as much as the hatchback model it is replacing. The coupe is pretty dull if you ask me and the Jetsons dashboard just doesn't do it for me.

Honda is more beneficial properly time-honored than Scion?? it extremely is the perfect comic tale I actually have heard in the present day! Scion is equipped by technique of Toyota, you recognize the international chief in motor vehicle production. Defeated GM about a twelve months in the past. Which makes very effective, severe value autos and has an rather lineup except Civic sedan, Civic coupe, Civic Si, and Civic Hybrid. yet comparing s sedan to a coupe doesn't make a lot sence. The Civic Si coupe compared with the tC may make an more desirable comparision, even in spite of the undeniable fact that a Civic Si is a perfomance motor vehicle, and a tC is more beneficial of a sporty monetary gadget motor vehicle. in case you merely like the Scion, you'll get one with a production unit TDR supercharger which will outperform the Civic, even in spite of the undeniable fact that value more beneficial. yet in case you opt for 4 doorways, and those are the in effortless words 2 options, you may flow with the Si. even in spite of the undeniable fact that a Lancer Ralliart may be an more desirable determination, even in spite of the undeniable fact that a pair funds more beneficial. or perchance a Subaru WRX.

Since the Civic is the most modified car on the planet, I would go for that. But speaking as a Honda nut, when you are finished beating the crap out of that Si, there will always be someone who will want to buy it from you.

Now, speaking as someone who has driven it, it is probably the best car out of the box in terms of the power it has and the handling. I can honestly say that even though it is not as fast off the line as the 93 RX-7 twin turbo, it is just as fun to drive and it holds the road just as well.

The thing that is nice about the Si is that the i-Vtec does not even kick in until you are up around 5,500 RPM, so the car is pretty much designed to red-line the shifts.

The HOnda is much quicker (with same equipment), and way more tuneable. Would you take a Corolla to race with? A Scion is only an attractive Toyota.
