like after having sex, when can i take a test and know that it's accurate... is there a number of days and do you have symptoms the next day or what? I'm so confused and praying that i'm not?

It sounds like you made a mistake and now you are major stressing when you may have no reason to. Try to relax, being over-anxious about something is never healty. You won't be able to tell if you are preg for another couple of weeks. If you are a week late or more go get a home preg test it's the only way to know. If you are preg then symptoms usually start around week seven, although anxiety and nervousness about a new preg can cause similar symptoms

I have seen ads on TV that there is a test you can buy that will determine if you are before you even miss a period. I am sorry but I don't know the name of it. You might check with a pharmacist to see. Symptoms other than a missed period usually don't start until the end of your first tri-mester, such as swollen breast, sore nipples, morning sickness. Some women aren't bothered till their 2nd tri-mester. It depends on the individual, and each pregnancy is different as well.

A test will not be 100% accurate untill a few days after your missed period. It is possible to get about a 50% accurate reading upto 3 days before your missed period. you will not be able to tell the day after!

I had symptoms the first week.... a lot of women don't but my boyfriend defintly noticed a change in appetite and tiredness. He brought it to my attention actually and sure enough, 3 weeks after I concieved, I took a pregnancy test and even though the line was faint, it showed positive. Good luck!

You must wait the date of your next period to take a test... it`s accurate by that date... if you take the test before, it can show you a negative because your hormonal behavior is not ready yet... but maybe a gyneco could help you to know if you`re pregnant with an ecography

You should wait until you have a missed period for the test to be the most accurate. You most likely will not have any symptoms.

No, don't worry about it yet. Wait till you've missed your period (if you do) There are not enough hormones there to detect anything the day after. Relax, and try not to think about it too much. I know, it's hard when you're worried, but, worrying is not going to help the situation. Good luck, I hope it works out the way you want.
